You must be at least 16 years old to use Ladna. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. What Ladna Does

Ladna supports personal organization, planning, reflection and self-management. Depending on the version, the App includes features for:

• goals, daily tasks and daily check-ins;
• habit tracking;
• mood, reflection and self-assessment;
• meal, water and calorie tracking;
• personal income, expense and budget organization, shopping lists and wishlists;
• hobby tracking;
• shared spaces with other users;
• reminders, a daily overview and reports;
• an AI weekly review with task suggestions;
• importing handwritten planner, diary or notebook pages from a photo.

We continuously develop the App. Features may be added, changed or removed, provided that the change is reasonable for you.

4. Pricing

4.1 Free of charge

Ladna is currently provided free of charge. The App contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions, and you will not be charged for using it.

4.2 Possible future paid features

We may introduce paid features or a subscription in the future. If we do, we will inform you in the App in good time beforehand. Paid features would only be offered via Apple’s In-App Purchase system, with the price, term and renewal conditions shown before you confirm a purchase, and these Terms would be updated accordingly. You will never be charged without actively confirming a purchase.

4.3 Subscriptions from earlier versions

An earlier version of the App (1.0) offered an auto-renewable subscription (“Ladna Premium”). If you purchased it, it was sold by Apple, and Apple handles billing, renewals and refunds (reportaproblem.apple.com). You can cancel it at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Deleting the App or your Ladna account does not cancel it. Any statutory right of withdrawal is exercised with Apple; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

5. No Medical, Psychological or Emergency Service

Ladna is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapy or counselling service, diagnostic tool or emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor any disease or mental health condition. If you have medical, psychological or emergency concerns, contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

6. No Financial, Legal or Professional Advice

Finance features serve personal organization only. Ladna does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal or other professional advice.

7. AI Features

The AI weekly review and the structuring of imported journal text use artificial intelligence. The AI weekly review is only available after you have given your consent in the App and can be created or refreshed up to three times per week.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Please review it before relying on it. It does not constitute professional advice, and you remain responsible for your decisions. We may change, limit or discontinue AI features, for example for technical, legal, safety or provider-related reasons.

8. Journal Photo Import

You are responsible for the photos you import. Do not import pages containing personal data of other people, payment card details, identity documents, health documents or other highly sensitive information unless you are entitled to do so. Text recognition may produce errors — please check suggested tasks before saving them.

9. Shared Spaces

If you create or join a shared space, the content you add is visible to the other members according to their role. You may only invite people who agree to be invited, and you are responsible for the content you share. The owner and admins of a space can manage its members and content.

10. Local Encryption

Ladna encrypts selected text on your device before storing it. Not all data is encrypted; metadata required for the App to work remains unencrypted. Encryption reduces risks but cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device and login credentials secure.

11. Your Account

You can register with an email address and password, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized access.

12. Your Content

Content you enter, import or generate in the App (“User Content”) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive right to process User Content solely as necessary to provide, secure and maintain the App, including the AI, text recognition and sharing features you choose to use. We do not claim ownership of User Content.

13. Prohibited Use

• violating applicable laws or the rights of others;
• uploading unlawful, harmful, abusive or discriminatory content;
• uploading personal data of others without a legal basis;
• harassing other users or sending unwanted invitations;
• attempting unauthorized access to the App, systems or data;
• interfering with the security, availability or performance of the App;
• circumventing security or encryption mechanisms;
• reverse engineering the App, except where permitted by law;
• automated scraping, spam or fraudulent activity.

14. Availability

We strive to keep the App available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, updates or disruptions at our providers may temporarily affect availability.

15. Account Deletion, Export and Termination

You can export your data and delete your account at any time in your profile. Account deletion is permanent. If you purchased a subscription in an earlier version of the App, deleting your account does not cancel it — please cancel it via Apple (see Section 4.3).

We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security risks, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. Any statutory rights to terminate for good cause remain unaffected.

How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and, in German, in our Datenschutzerklärung.

17. Intellectual Property and License

The App, its design, software, branding and content are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for private, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

18. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are concluded between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.
• If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• In the event of a third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of such claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

19. Third-Party Services

Ladna relies on third-party services such as Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple), Google (Sign in with Google, Cloud Vision, Firebase Cloud Messaging), OpenAI, Supabase and Vercel. Their own terms may apply to your use of their services.

20. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply. We do not guarantee that the App or its content — in particular AI-generated content, text recognition results or reports — will achieve a particular result.

21. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee.

As the App is currently provided free of charge, our liability in all other cases is limited to intent and gross negligence. If paid features are introduced, the following applies to them: in cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on which you may regularly rely), and our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.

Please regularly export important data. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms if there is a valid reason, for example new features, changes in the law or changes by our providers. We will inform you of material changes in the App in good time before they take effect. The introduction of paid features requires your active purchase; we will not charge you without it.

23. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
